Leading Change Together
ACT is a youth-led organization empowering young people in South Sudan through leadership development, sustainable livelihoods, and community resilience — fostering inclusive growth and lasting peace.
Our Mission
“To empower youth through leadership development, sustainable livelihoods, and community resilience, fostering inclusive growth and lasting peace.”
Our Vision
A peaceful, self-reliant South Sudan where young people lead positive change in their communities.
Our Approach
ACT adopts a participatory, community-centered model that begins with listening. Through research, surveys, and continuous dialogue, we identify local needs and design programs that are both relevant and sustainable.
What We Do
Five Pillars of Community Impact
Livelihoods & Economic Empowerment
We provide market-driven vocational skills training — tailoring, IT, graphic design, bakery, and agribusiness — bridging the unemployment gap for young people.
Peacebuilding & Social Cohesion
We facilitate community-led dialogues and provide training in conflict resolution and mediation to foster peaceful coexistence across fragmented communities.
Advocacy & Protection
We lead high-impact awareness campaigns on substance abuse, girls' education, and gender-based violence, amplifying the voices of youth and women.
Smart Agriculture & Climate Resilience
We promote climate-smart agricultural techniques — drip irrigation, bee-keeping, and sustainable resource management — to strengthen food security.
Disaster Risk Reduction & Emergency Preparedness
We build community first-responder capacity through early warning systems, hazard mapping, and emergency preparedness planning.
